parsing weak verbs: given an indicative weak verb in sentence context, be able to determine its person, number, and tense. Examples: hīe þæt gefremedon swā: gefremedon: third person plural preterite; hwæt, þū gehierst þæt ðe man micela spræca tō hæfð: gehierst: second person singular present. For more examples, see last week's handout, to which I have now also posted an answer key. On this quiz, I will only ask the verbs of which full paradigms are given in the textbook (§§116–126).
pp. 1–3 of the vocabulary flashcards (the pages starting mann, þurh, and agan).
be prepared to write out either the entire paradigm or individual forms of bēon, including length marks.
